About Me

Hello everyone!  My name is Miranda and I am a crafty critter.  From wood and metal working to card making and scrapbooking, I enjoy creating sometimes funky … sometimes beautiful works of art.  I live in Caldwell, Idaho with my husband of 16 years, Cody, and our two cats, Ms. Kitty and Ms. Mow.  Please don’t let my lack of naming capabilities shape your thoughts of my creativity.  We have lived here for about three years, but we are originally from the southwest.  Eventually we hope to head back down south to warm weather and sunny skies.

I am an avid crafter, but my passion is preserving memories through crafts.  I love to put a little something special into each item I make to ensure that it represents either the giver or the receiver.  Each time the item is viewed, that person will remember when, who or why they received this handmade treasure and relive the memories whether they are of a time of joy or of a time of sorrow.

My enthusiasm for all things crafty, especially memory preservers, all began with my mother.  She had this black travel chest – the Black Chest – that held a piece of history from generations past.  Each generation would place items within the chest; items of special value such as locks of hair, love letters and art work.  On the very rare and special occasion, my mother would pull out the key to the Black Chest and allow my sister and I to look through the wonderful treasures within.  Today, I have the Black Chest, and I cannot wait to add my contributions to our family story.
