Christmas Card – Christmas Tree

Clear Embossed Christmas Tree
This card was so fun and simple to make. I used a sponge and distress inks to create the background, but first I stamped the image with Versamark Ink and heat embossed the image with clear embossing powder. After I sponged the background, I simply wiped off any ink left on the words. I have seen this technique used may times in the past and I am so happy to finally try it for myself!
Then I placed the tree on piece of red card stock and layered them on to a folder embossed white piece of card stock with a red ribbon in between. All of the layers were affixed to a red card base.
Christmas is only a few days away! I love this time of year. There is just something about cold days and nights that get my crafty-ness going! I would love to hear about your favorite time of year for crafting. Leave a comment below!
