Brown Sugar Challenge #242 – Pink and Brown Design Team Inspiration
I am so excited to announce that I have been selected to join the great Design Team over at the Brown Sugar Challenge Blog. Our theme for this week is Pink and Brown. This is a great theme for Spring! This beautiful handcrafted Easter card titled: Bunny Line is my debut Design Team Inspiration project. This week our sponsor is the lovely Bugaboo Stamps and they are offering our lucky winner 4 digital stamps! They have so many great images to choose from. Even if you don’t end up being the winner, you must check out their great selection!
The Image – Pink and Brown
For this project, I decided to make an Easter Card. As I mentioned above, our theme this week is Pink and Brown. Our awesome sponsor supplied the image Easter Bunny Line at my request. I just love this image! I decided to color the bunnies brown and pink and used the same colors for the flowers, eggs and baskets. Spectrum Noir markers were used to color the image.
The Completed Card
To assemble the card I cut a piece of brown card stock to create a 7″ x 5″ card base. Next, I cut a coordinating pink card stock and punched the bottom edge with a fun border punch that reminds me of Easter eggs. Then, I adhered the image to the pink card stock. I attached a piece of brown hemp cord to the bottom of the image with 1/8″ Scor-Tape and finished it off with a bow. Finally, after attaching the layers to the card base, I glued small pink pearls to the border and Stamped an Easter sentiment with Tea Dye Distress Ink to the lower right corner of the image.
I am so happy to be a member of the Brown Sugar Challenges Design Team. This was the first challenge I ever entered and now I get to join them in inspiring all of our great crafters that participate in our challenges. I would love to see your projects, so head over to the challenge and play along with us!
