Crafty Creations Challenge #342 – Design Team Inspiration – Forever Love

Happy Wednesday!  It is time for another fabulous challenge over at the Crafty Creations Challenge blog!  This week our sponsor is the awesome Bugaboo Stamps!  To give you a little bit of inspiration, I have created this handcrafted just because card titled “Forever Love” and I just adore it!  Come play along with us for your chance to win!

The Image

This week I selected a beautiful silhouette image from our sponsor called Love Blocks – Day after Forever.  I just love the look and sentiment of this image!  Due to this being a silhouette, I used distress inks to sponge color onto the background of the image.  Then I spritzed it with water.  I outline a few of the parts of the image with colored pens to add a bit of color.  Finally, I used a white gel pen to add dots to the dandelion puffs and the butterflies.

Putting the Card Together

After coloring the image, I cut it out and mounted it onto a piece of blue green card stock.  Then, I used the same distress inks to color a white card base around the edges.  Finally, I attached the mounted image.  Although this card is simple, I just love it and can’t wait to give it to my love, Cody!  The soft colors and beautiful image are just perfect!
